First Day of School - Redeaux - September 07, 2006
Sara had her first day at Pre-K on Monday. Now, I spoke the other day about my embarassment that my mom put me through with Day 1 photos.
Marie has taken it to a whole new level. In addition to the neighbors, the whole world wide web, Marie actually made her pose in front of the sign at the pre-school

Great Labor Day Trip - September 06, 2006
For Labor Day weekend this year, we camped at Diamond Lake - a fallen star in the Oregon Recreational Landscape due to a fish less than 4 inches long. We're not fishermen, so the trip was simply excellent, and we only lost 1 child for a few minutes.
Conincidentally, today there was a feature story on the front page of the Oregonian about what's has caused the resort to fall from grace.
Next year I think campsites might be a little harder to come by for a holiday weekend.
A First Day of School Ritual - September 05, 2006
When I was a kid, Mom always had to get a picture of my sister and I on the first day of school. Most of the time, it was on the front porch. We lived on a busy street those days, so as JJ and I got older, it was a source of great embarassment.
Well, now I get to do it to my kids. Except, now it's not just the neighbors that get to see it - it's the whole world wide web!
